The Bavarian Lake Constance metropolis of Lindau with the Lindau Island lies on – and even in – the water. Here you can experience Bavaria in a very charming and easy way, which may again be due to the water, and you can have a wonderful stroll around.

Friedrichshafen, the district capital of the Lake Constance region and a popular shopping town, is known to many as the starting point of the Zeppelins. The beautiful lakeside promenade with countless cafés, the harbour and ferry port, the Graf-Zeppelin-Haus cultural centre and two large museums on the history of aviation, the Dornier Museum and the Zeppelin Museum, are all within easy reach.
A special highlight of your stay could be a sightseeing flight with the “Zeppelin NT” – or even a boat trip with the historic paddle steamer “Hohentwiel”.

The lively student town of Constance with its rich history and cultural life, directly on the border with Switzerland and attractively situated between Lake Constance and the Rhine, is served by catamaran from Friedrichshafen.
